GBCI is launching "The Green Challenge"—a series on issues related to energy, the environment and sustainability for students in grades 6–8. The challenge will give teachers access to lessons from Learning Lab, an online platform for sustainability curriculum. For 2017, we have launched "Energy" as the theme under The Green Challenge Series.

Each school can register 25 or more students, with a nominal registration fee of Rs. 250 for each student. After registering, the school is provided access to lessons on the topic of energy from Learning Lab. After implementing the lessons, students will be judged on two assessment levels—Project Submission and Energy Quiz.

One winning school from each city will qualify for a national-level debate in Delhi in October. The winning team at the national debate will receive passes to Greenbuild India.

Education @USGBC is a leading platform to deliver sustainability-related education. GBCI India is leveraging content and resources from the platform, making them accessible to faculty and instructors teaching about the concepts of sustainability and green building to our future leaders.
