On usgbc.org, users can earn badges by completing courses on Education @USGBC. What's a "badge"? A badge is a digital symbol of recognition that complies with the Open Badge specification. Once a badge is earned, you will automatically be notified. (No need to sign, up—to get started just take a course on Education @USGBC.)

GBCI issues badges to signify awards and achievements (such as credentials and certificates) on usgbc.org and to reward awareness or proficiency in distinct knowledge areas. With badges, you can maintain your credential and show off your accomplishments at the same time!

You can earn the following badges from GBCI:

  • 5 in 30: Badge earners have completed five courses on Education @USGBC in a single month.
  • 5 in 1: Badge earners have completed five courses on Education @USGBC in a single day.
  • 1-2-3: Badge earners have completed courses on Education @USGBC three days in a row.
  • 10 Done: Badge earners have completed 10 courses on Education @USBGC.
  • 20 Done: Badge earners have completed 20 courses on Education @USBGC.
  • 30 Done: Badge earners have completed 30 courses on Education @USBGC.
  • Conversation Starter: Badge earners have commented on 10 courses on Education @USBGC.
