ABOUT: LEED FOR Neighborhood Development

LEED for Neighborhood Development is designed primarily for the planning and development of new green neighborhoods proximate to diverse uses or adjacent to connected and previously developed land. It is designed to certify exemplary development projects that perform well in terms of smart growth, urbanism, and green building. Projects may constitute whole neighborhoods, portions of neighborhoods, or multiple neighborhoods.

All of the LEED-ND forms are now available for download by registered projects in LEED Online. This means that full certification process for LEED-ND 2009 registered projects is now available. Please note, for all projects registering before the end of 2010, the effective date of the cancellation and expiration policies, as stated in the Certification Policy Manual, will not commence until January 1, 2011.
