HOW TO TRANSFER A PROJECT FROM LOv2 TO LOv3

Projects registered under a LEED v2 rating system may upgrade to the newer (LEED v3/2009) version of the rating system. The cost for doing so will be the difference between the registration fee already paid and the present registration fee for the v3/2009 rating system to which the project team would like to upgrade. Please use the LOv2 Project Transfer Help content in LEED Online v3 for step-by-step upgrade instructions.

Who is Eligible?

  • Project must be in one of the following rating systems:
    • LEED CI
    • LEED CS
    • LEED NC (v2.1 and v2.2)
    • LEED for Schools
    • LEED EB (all versions)
  • Registration fee must be paid
  • Project must be registered but not submitted for review
  • Only project admin can transfer the project

Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Project transfer will be initiated from LEED Online v3.
  2. The project admin should log in to LEED Online v3.
  3. Select Project Transfer.
  4. Enter LEED Online v2 project access ID. (To find your project access ID, go to LEED Online v2 > Project Summary > Basics.)
  5. Select Transfer.
  6. LEED Online v3 will validate the project access, if eligible.
  7. New LEED Online v3 project will be created with the transferred information.
  8. To complete the transfer, select the 'My Projects' tab and process payment.
  9. Conversion is complete and the project is available at LEED Online v3 > My Projects.
  10. The LEED Online v2 project will be deleted and removed from the LEED Online v2 project list.

Please note:

  • Transfers are not reversible
  • Your rating system will be upgraded to a LEED v3 rating system
