Q: Which LEED Rating System applies to my project?A: For help selecting which LEED Rating System is best for your situation review USGBC's
Rating System Selection Guidance document or see a
detailed explanation of each rating system.
Q: How does the LEED certification process work?A: View the
certification guide for a detailed overview of the certification process.
Q: How much does LEED certification cost? A: The cost for certification is calculated according to the building’s gross square footage as entered on the “Project Summary” tab in LEED Online. View the
certification guide for a detailed overview of both the registration and certification costs.
Q: How do I submit certification payment?A: You will be prompted to pay by credit card or check when you submit your project in LEED Online. We encourage project teams to pay for LEED reviews via credit card to avoid delays. If you are not able to pay by credit card at the time of submission, you may elect to pay by check, and an invoice with payment instructions will be sent by email. Payment normally clears within 3 business days of receiving the check, provided the invoice number is included with payment, and a receipt will be sent via e-mail. We do not accept pre-payment. Review work begins when payment has cleared.
Q: If I originally selected the “Pay by check” option when submitting my project for review, can I decide later to pay by credit card?A: Yes. To do so, please follow the directions here:
