- When will the CE hours I self-reported be approved?
CE hours are officially approved during your renewal process, which will be available in late 2010. If you are uncertain as to whether your hours will ultimately be approved, feel free to contact us directly. However, please note that we are relying on the judgment of the credential holder to convey the relevance and validity of the CE hours reported.
- In which category do I self-report my committee or volunteer work?
For committee or volunteer work that does not fit into any of the categories, select a main category that best fits your occupation, industry, or field, select "other" in the sub-category field, and type "Committee" or "Volunteer" in the text box.
- How can I determine if a specific course or professional experience counts for CMP?
The best resources for determining if a specific activity counts for CMP are the CMP guide, which provides the guidelines for each CMP activity, and the Activity Descriptions, which provide examples of what does and does not count for each activity type. Also, any education approved by an ERB will count toward your CMP requirements. If, after reading the resources, you are still uncertain, feel free to contact GBCI credentialing staff; however, please note that we may not be able to guarantee an activity will count over the phone or through email.
