This document contains the most frequently asked questions about the LEED Fellow nomination process. These questions supplement the LEED Fellow Handbook.

Q: Can a nominee also nominate another individual?
A: No. A nominee cannot be a nominator during the same year they are a nominee.

Q: Can a nominator also be a nominee?
A: No. If an individual has nominated someone, they cannot be nominated in the same year.

Q: Can a nominator nominate more than one person?
A: No. A nominator can only nominate one person per year. If, however, a nominated person declines, the nominator may then nominate another individual.

Q: What forms must be completed to become a LEED Fellow?
A: There are 5 required forms (listed below), which are available online during the nomination process.

Q: Where do I go to nominate someone for the LEED Fellow?
A: If you are a LEED AP with specialty, the LEED Fellow nomination link is on the main menu of My Credentials.

Q: What is the total cost?
A: The only fee is the $225.00 application fee. The fee is non-refundable and is submitted through the LEED Fellow portal by the nominee.

Q: Can the nominator also be an endorser?
A: No. The nominator cannot also be an endorser since they will have already provided a recommendation letter for the nominee.

Q: Can I nominate one person and be an endorser of another?
A: Yes. Nominees and nominators can be endorsers of other nominees.

Q: Can I be a nominee and be an endorser for another person?
A: Yes. Nominees and nominators can be endorsers of other nominees.

Q: How many individuals will be awarded the credential?
A: There is no predetermined number of LEED Fellows. All qualified nominees are evaluated by the LEED Fellow Evaluation Committee to determine if they meet the criteria described in the handbook.
