The deadline to submit a proposal and apply to become a review has been extended to Dec. 15, 2017.

Greenbuild Europe offers a forum for the green building community to unite and address pressing issues such as air quality, human health, energy use and global climate change. USGBC and GBCI Announce Savona, Italy as the First City to Sign on to LEED for Cities in Europe

New certification system combines sustainability, social equity and human experience with technology and analytics at the citywide level

Savona, Italy – (31 July 2017) – The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the creators of the LEED green building rating system, and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), the organization that certifies all LEED projects globally, announced that Savona, Italy, which is home to more than 62,000 people, is the first city in Europe registering for its LEED for Cities program.


ICP Expands Investor-Ready Energy Efficiency Certification to Industry, District Energy and Street Lighting

London—(July 3, 2017)—Investor Confidence Project Europe, a global underwriting standard for developing and measuring energy efficiency retrofits, announced its Investor Ready Energy Efficiency™ (IREE) certification is now being applied to energy efficiency projects across industry, street lighting and district energy. The certification was previously only available to the building sector. The expansion is made possible through funding from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program.
