Arc powers LEED by scoring operational performance data from spaces, buildings, portfolios and places. The Arc platform helps project teams collect and manage data across five categories: energy, water, waste, transportation and human experience. Using this data, the platform generates a LEED performance score that can be used by project teams to submit for and achieve LEED certification or recertification.
A LEED performance score expresses your building's sustainability performance, in the five categories, over the last 12 months as a single number from 0 to 100. A LEED performance score of 40-49 means you’re performing at the LEED Certified level, 50-59 corresponds with LEED Silver, 60-69 corresponds with LEED Gold and 80+ corresponds with LEED Platinum. A score of 100 means your building is net zero in energy, water and waste.
Collecting the data needed to generate a score can sometimes be a time-consuming and potentially error-prone exercise, especially as teams work to meet LEED recertification requirements and provide up-to-date data year after year.
Arc recently announced that it has established partnerships with four organizations – including arbnco, Commutifi, Measurabl and QLEAR – that will help streamline and automate the exchange of operational performance data and simplifying the process to meet LEED certification and recertification requirements. These technologies make it easier to maintain high-quality data and achieve recognition for green building leadership.

Measurabl’s cloud-based software collects data, creates investment-grade sustainability reports and alerts users to improvement opportunities. Measurabl provides “meter-to-market” solutions for individual projects or entire portfolios. This means their technology allows users to automate the flow of performance data from individual utility meters up to spaces, buildings and entire companies. This gives investors and other stakeholders confidence in the quality of information used to make important decisions. Measurabl and Arc have created new features to help users find potential LEED certifications or streamline recertification. This makes it easier for Measurabl and Arc users to receive recognition for their leadership in building design, construction and operations. Commutifi provides a proven methodology to score commuting routes based on cost, time and carbon efficiency. Commutifi helps government, real estate companies and enterprises understand and manage commuting over time. Commutifi and Arc have created new features that make it faster and easier to meet LEED requirements for commuting surveys. Project teams can elect to use Commutifi’s sophisticated commuter registration tool and send data directly to Arc to meet LEED v4.1 O+M and recertification requirements. arbn well is an indoor environmental quality monitoring software that applies advanced technology to understand information on indoor environmental conditions and to measure how a building is performing for its occupants. arbn well uses high-quality indoor sensors to provide real-time information about indoor environmental conditions to help improve human experience. This includes capturing how a building performs in human terms, such as data on temperature, humidity, particulate matter, carbon dioxide, volatile organic components and other important parameters. QLEAR is a cloud-based indoor environmental quality platform that enables users to centralize a building’s data, use analytical tools to discover trends in indoor environmental quality, and generate insights to improve performance over time.
