Don Anderson is an Operating Advisor to Blackstone, having served for ten years as Chief Sustainability Officer in its Private Equity Group. He supports sustainability initiatives that deliver cost effective quantitative and qualitative results across Blackstone’s Capital Partners and Real Estate portfolio companies. Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Anderson was Vice President of Global Strategy and Business Development at ICF International, where he sold and managed energy efficiency and sustainability projects in the BRIC countries and Europe. Prior to that, he provided strategic consulting to corporations associated with operational excellence and sustainability in large portfolios, ENERGY STAR, USAID, and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), creator of LEED®. Mr. Anderson has a B.A. with a concentration in energy from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Solar Technology from Arizona State's College of Architecture.
