Kerrie Schueffner

The GBCI® technical customer service team has won a Gold Stevie Award in the 2016 International Business Awards for Customer Service Team of the Year for the second year in a row, matching their achievement of Gold in 2015

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide—public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, large and small—are eligible to submit nominations. The 2016 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories, and a record total of more than 3,800 nominations were submitted for consideration in a wide range of categories.

This award recognizes the hard work of the Technical Customer Service Team—architects, engineers, building scientists and sustainable development experts—that works day in and day out to support their colleagues around the world in implementing LEED and other green building certification programs successfully.

GBCI’s Technical Customer Service Team has expanded its service from supporting the flagship green building program, LEED®, to supporting four additional technical programs: WELL, SITES®, EDGE and Parksmart. To successfully support these new programs, the team expanded across time zones and internationally to provide customers with support when they need it.

The Technical Customer Service Team has successfully developed the customer service infrastructure, policies and services for these new programs, which is reflected in the programs’ growth and success. Together, the staff on the Technical Customer Service team bring over 200 years of green building project experience to help project teams navigate the technical complexities of these rating systems and standards.

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide, who participated in the judging process from May through early August. The awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Rome, Italy on October 21.
