With USGBC executives and staff in Mexico this week to discuss green buildings and the future of LEED, we present an updated LEED in Motion: Mexico report. Originally released in June 2015, LEED in Motion: Mexico equipped readers with insight related to the progress of green building in Mexico.

Today, Mexico's architects, construction firms, energy companies, city planners, enterprises and politicians are working together to create the sustainable cities of tomorrow. Mexico is home to 755 projects participating in LEED, totaling 15,946,290 gross square meters of space. From hospitality to retail, whether single projects or LEED volume certification, the projects in Mexico represent the diversity and breadth inherent in LEED.

Additionally, the report provides direct access to a number of LEED documentation and reference guides that have been translated into Spanish.

We thank Alejandra Cabrera and José Luis Gutiérrez Brezmes for providing the report’s forewords.
